Overview

Health care management is particularly sensitive to emerging technologies. Probably the biggest innovation in the field in recent years has been the emergence of telemedicine. This course will focus on preparing the health care administrator to deal with existing and future information technologies.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Effectively integrate telemedicine into an existing medical facility.
  • Anticipate advances in medical technology that will impact the functioning of a medical facility.
  • Establish a plan for incorporating new technologies into an established practice.
