Overview

Do you ever feel misunderstood? That's because few things are as complicated as human communication. By understanding the complex processes involved in both group and one-to-one communication, you can communicate more effectively. This course will examine current research on the principles of how we communicate.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Identify the individual and social contexts that affect communication.
  • Analyze the human communication process from a variety of theoretical perspectives.
  • Demonstrate ways to improve communication based on case analyses.
