BA 722: Methodologies in Project-Based Research

Overview

BA722 will continue with the advanced statistical concepts presented in BA 721.  In this course, students will examine different tools and methods for analyzing statistical data.  Students will learn how to use statistical data to draw conclusions regarding the nature of the samples studied and to make inferences from the data about the general population.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

The course objectives at the doctoral level reflect an emphasis on increasing the student’s abilities to analyze and apply concepts and techniques of basic statistics. SPSS will become a tool familiar to the student in order to integrate and apply the theories of BA 721.  Each course outcome is stated in terms of learning outcomes as follows: There are four major learning outcomes in this course:

  • Understanding Standard Distributions
  • Understanding and Developing Hypothesis Testing
  • Different tests for Hypothesis testing
  • Regression Analysis
